Heroes
Alam ko Superhero fanatic ka. We all grew up watching movies and stuff of them habang ginagaya kung pano nila talunin ang mga kalaban sa tulong ng special powers nila.
I heard once, "sinong mas magaling si superman o si batman?" Di nagkasundo yung dalawang bata, ayun ang ending suntukan.
Of course they are all great. Though may mga weaknesses, still they are superheroes. My question is who do you think is better if not the best in playing the role of the superhero.

Kung Fu Panda 2
Po: But I just caught Kung Fu
Shifu: And now... you must save it."
I enjoyed watching Kung Fu Panda 2. Still hilarious as the first one, this second installment is a fun to watch Jack Black (Po's voice) starrer this year.
The movie opens today.
There are lovely bits like this scattered throughout Kung Fu Panda 2, little moments that undermine traditional action-movie tropes to hilarious effect. Much praise is owed to director Jennifer Yuh Nelson and returning writers Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger, who have adroitly addressed the chief – and arguably only – complaint about the first film: that its story was too lightweight, too formulaic, too cautiously adherent to the conventional hero’s journey blueprint. Their follow-up may not be as charming or whimsical as its predecessor, but it makes up for it with added depth and emotional resonance.

Worst!
I’m done watching Skyline and not impressed. Their movie poster is nice but doesn’t compliment with the movie itself. I just downloaded it for free anyway.

Screaming!
I like watching horror movies. From Freddy Krueger to Jason of Friday the 13th, the zombies of Night of the Living Dead, the famous Draculas and Vampires, even Chucky and the Gremlins, those villains are bad ass!
Here’s the thing, why not put them in one movie, like the evil of Paranormal Activity meets the evil of The Exorcist or Hannibal Lecter vs. those cannibals in The Holocaust. That’s rumble! Freddy and Jason did it.
The Asian horror movies, where are they now? I remember the first installment of The Grudge which I consider the most terrifying horror movie I’ve seen made myself wrapped in my blanket and awake the whole night. (takot ako e!) Even The Ring with Sadako, she’s evil.
Hey, I just found this old clip. Watching Sadako dying, what a revenge!

Now she’s really dead!

Stressed!
Finally it’s weekend. This past days has become stressful. Talking to some of our fieldmen give me a hypertension, but I know that’s part of the job so sige lang.
If it’s true that young billionaire Mark Zuckerberg will put Facebook to an end, I will understand. Managing a millions of people around the globe is a big deal. And here’s the point, without Facebook, people will have to go outside and make real friends. That’s always a good thing. That’s fine with me, buti na lang we have this blog, you don't have to go outside to collect friends, right? That saves the day.
Forget the stress. We’re planning to watch Gulliver’s Travels. (Thanks to Citibank perks, ok ang movie passes!) I read a book of this epic story so this is not new to me. Starring Jack Black, this comedy version will surely be a hilarious one since Mr. Black is really hilarious!

Have a good day!

SALT
I watched Salt last night (thanks for the complimentary block screening-ticket).
I must say Angelina Jolie delivered a great performance for this action-packed film. Take a peek of her naked body at the beginning of the movie.

'Before becoming a CIA officer, Evelyn Salt swore an oath to duty, honor, and country. She will prove loyal to these when a defector accuses her of being a Russian sleeper spy. Salt goes on the run, using all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative to elude capture, protect her husband, and stay one step ahead of her colleagues at the CIA.'

Way 'UP' High
I was hesitated when first ask to watch Disney's "UP", I thought it's just an ordinary kid flick. But hey, upon seeing the movie, I can say this one is commendable.
The film shows how love and friendship bind for each character to reach their purpose and that selfishness must put out of way.
The kid is bright, his parents must be proud of him.

G.I. JOE: The Rise of Cobra

Haven't seen the movie yet?
I remember having G.I. Joe stuff when I was a kid. It's quite exciting those figures hit the big screen with all that effects.
Thanks to Citibank perks, a movie pass is great! ('though we had to pay for an additional fee since that movie costs freaking Php190, but that's ok).

The Promotion
Haven't heard the movie "The Promotion"? It's a story of a man who just wanted to have this stability in life as he begin to form his own family, self-fulfillment and how to overcome those struggling days as he goes on with his journey.
The movie is quite good in perhaps uplifting one's desire to move on with his life, on coping with situations as you encounter different individual and dealing with your competitor for the job as what the main character encountered. Fine acting with the casts lead by Sean William-Scott. Politics, relationship with co-workers even a trouble sometimes are given in a dayjob, but what important is believing in yourself, do your tasks, and stick to the right thing. With that, your job promotion is not far away.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

This is an epic tale of a man named Benjamin Button who ages backwards (how in earth could that be?). The story is something different, yet an emotional (maybe full of sentimentality?) one. Kung ma-aapreciate mo 'yung drama, pwede 'to!
I think the concept is good if not brilliant, it has the wide element on how Benjamin view life (maybe some of you guys can relate) and all the circumstances he faced through his entire journey from a newborn child with the body of an old man and died as a baby. Their love story (with her wife Daisy) has been struggled, the scene where Benjamin was set to leave his family is heartbreaking(!) merely because of his situation.. (oopss.. senti nga 'to!)
Effects are great, fine acting with the casts...
Meanwhile, the movie bagged 13 Oscar Nominations.
This is Now Showing, check it out!

Pacquiao & Stallone in Movie?
That boxing hero is lucky enough to go into Hollywood land. Pacquiao's buddy Erik Pineda said Rocky himself met Pacman and discussed about the movie being planned by Stallone. Definitely an action-filled and thousand of punches one.
Maybe that will be a good break for Pacquiao 'cause all his local film were flop... (am I right?)
