Weekend Trippin

Spare time at last! Escaping the rush routine in the metro for a day is simply an achievement. Let’s take a ride.

The soothing cool wind in Tagaytay was enough for a great weekend stay in this place called THouse. Feel at home with the relaxing interiors and the natural colors of the surroundings. The clean modern architecture is designed to let relaxation flow naturally. The room entertains a good sleep with a complimentary tea to bid you goodnight. Staff and Crews are nice. How about indulging with their spa treatments.

The sumptuous complimentary breakfast for two is a hit. Burrp!

Next stop to Josephine's Restaurant. The photo speaks of a great fine dine experience. Pasok ang bulalo!

Have some chilling moment with this hotspot, the Bag of Beans Coffe Shop. It was my first time and I'm loving the place. Trending ang blueberry cheesecake nila.

Let's continue the food tripping here, I even got a lunch buffet deal with Taal Vista Hotel. What a perk! So, I'm not foodie right?

At the Club

I heard a lot about this resort called Club Balai Isabel at Batangas. I even caught a segment on national television featuring the place. The impression is ...  nice, it's time to relax. Have some self-pampering package for this season.

We arrived at the place for about two hours travel from Manila. The resort is like an exclusive subdivision from the outside. It has a condotel-type houses, big enough for a family gathering. We got the Lakeside suite for almost 50% off. What a nice perk! Watching Taal Volcano in it's full glory is a bonus (hehe!)

Don't expect a white sand, remember it's a Lake. Mag-tampisaw na lang sa dalawang may kalakihang pool na matatagpuan sa magkahiwalay na bahagi ng resort. They also offered some recreational activities, from beach volleyball to basketball, tennis, badminton and watersports like kayaking, sailing and wakeboarding. Zipline facilities are coming soon.

Clubhouse and lounge are well maintained. Have some spa treatment with the resident therapists or spend sometime for reflection and prayers in the "Spousal of Mary & Joseph Chapel". They also have this Balikatan Obstacle Course which is ideal for a teambuilding activities.

Greetings!

For to us a child is born,

To us a son is given,

And the government will be on his shoulders,
And his name will be called
Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God
Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and of peace
There will be no end.

Nature Trippin'

I witnessed how people in Puerto Princesa, Palawan maintain the discipline in taking care of their city and the environment that’s why it was named as the cleanest and greenest city in the country for the past years. I enjoyed the trip. It's nice to know the heritage and the rich culture of Palawan. Swabe ang mga pagkain! Problema lang sa laki ng region nila kapag sinabi nilang malapit lang, sa’tin kelangan pang sumakay para mapuntahan.

A candidate for the new 7 Wonder of Natures, the Subterranean Underground River is amazing. The rock formation under the cave is unbelievable.

Syempre patatalo ba ang beach nila, but I think the great beaches in Palawan are located in the northern part of the region like in El Nido and Coron

Cruisin’

It’s officially summer, mainit!

I went to the City of Pines (Baguio) last weekend (palamig ng konti). Bitin ang 2-day break from the hazard of the Metro.

We had a great stay at The Suites at Camp John Hay, a condo type establishment in a highland and accessible area with a nice amenities and services. The room is spacious and comfortable. Ok ang view outside, syempre maraming pine tree at magpalamig habang pinapanood yung mga Korean in Golf course. Food shops and some apparel outlets are just a few steps away from the place.

Did I say our stay was a complimentary?

A Trip to Palawan

The plan was to look for an overseas promo tour package but having a second thought, mukhang sabit di kaya ng budget. Daming bills, settle ko muna.

I learned about this Travel Tour Expo at SMX, MOA.

Everyone was going crazy about the tour promos, mostly abroad. Travel agencies, airlines, hotels and establishments offered a nice and affordable vacation packages. Kung mahina-hina ang control power mo, lagot ang savings!

I’ve never been to Palawan, so I grabbed this one.

(Booking was on-site only.)
(Travel period: the whole year of 2011)

See you there.

Relaxing!

Ang bilis ng panahon! I know it’s a bit cold now, but summer is definitely just around the corner. You’re waiting for it, right? Possibly it’s the most exciting season in the country where everyone is cruising outside. I must better save now for that.

On the other hand, when I was a kid I always dream of a snow experience in here and realized that I am living in a third world country. How can we afford all those stuff for winter? You know what I mean. Syet! How I love my tropic nation!

While I’m waiting for the summer, unwind muna tayo dito ..

(My recent trip sa di naman kalayuan, Thunderbird Resort- Rizal)

Good Times!
