Kung Fu Panda 2

"Shifu: This could be the end of Kung Fu.
Po: But I just caught Kung Fu

Shifu: And now... you must save it."

I enjoyed watching Kung Fu Panda 2. Still hilarious as the first one, this second installment is a fun to watch Jack Black (Po's voice) starrer this year.

The movie opens today.

read the movie's Full Review

There is a moment in Kung Fu Panda 2, Dreamworks’ stellar follow-up to its 2008 talking-animal blockbuster, that is as clever and subversive as any I’ve seen in recent animated films. Just before the climactic final battle, our hero, Po (Jack Black), thought to have been vanquished, re-appears above a rooftop to declare his challenge to the villainous Lord Shen (Gary Oldman), who sits upon a battleship in the canal below, preparing mount his siege. As Po launches into his speech, the camera pulls back to reveal that Shen is in fact well out of earshot; he can’t make out a single word the panda is saying. Shen pleas in vain for him to speak up, only to give up in frustration and commence his assault forthwith.

There are lovely bits like this scattered throughout Kung Fu Panda 2, little moments that undermine traditional action-movie tropes to hilarious effect. Much praise is owed to director Jennifer Yuh Nelson and returning writers Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger, who have adroitly addressed the chief – and arguably only – complaint about the first film: that its story was too lightweight, too formulaic, too cautiously adherent to the conventional hero’s journey blueprint. Their follow-up may not be as charming or whimsical as its predecessor, but it makes up for it with added depth and emotional resonance.

WET PANTS

Napulot ko sa inbox ko at somehow may sense to. You can leave your thoughts about the story.

Come with me to a third grade classroom..... There is a nine-year-old kid sitting at his desk and all of
a sudden, there is a puddle between his feet and
the front of his pants are wet.
He thinks his
heart is going to stop because he cannot
possibly imagine how this has happened. It's
never happened before, and he knows that when
the boys find out he will never hear the end of
it. When the girls find out, they'll never speak
to him again as long as he
lives.

The boy
believes his heart is going to stop; he puts his
head down and prays this prayer,
'Dear God, this
is an emergency! I need help now!
Five minutes
from now I'm dead meat.'

He looks up from his prayer and here comes the teacher with a look in her eyes that says he has been
discovered.

As the teacher is walking toward him, a class mate named Susie is carrying a goldfish bowl that is filled with water. Susie trips in front of the teacher and inexplicably dumps the bowl of water in the boy's lap.

The boy pretends to be angry, but all the while is saying to himself, 'Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Lord!'

Now all of a sudden, instead of being the object of ridicule, the boy is the object of sympathy. The teacher rushes him downstairs and gives him gym shorts to put on while his pants dry out. All the other children are on their hands and knees cleaning up around his desk. The sympathy is wonderful. But as life would have it, the ridicule that should have been his has been transferred to someone else -
Susie.

She tries to help, but they tell her to get out.

Finally, at the end of the day, as they are waiting for the bus, the boy walks over to Susie and whispers, 'You did that on purpose, didn't you?' Susie whispers back, 'I wet my pants once too.'

(Sorry Susie, I feel for you hehe!)

Here’s the thing:
Allow yourself to see the opportunities that are always around
us to do good...

Each and everyone one of us is going through tough times
right now, but God is getting ready to bless you
in a way that only He can. Keep the
faith.

Pride

Pinoy are very much creative. I’ve been to Lucban, Quezon to witness this year’s Pahiyas Festival and amazed with the eye-catching decorated houses, the highlight of the celebration. It was fun watching that kind of artworks.

"Pahiyas Festival is a colorful feast celebrated every 15th of May by the people of Lucban, Quezon in honor of San Isidro Labrador. It is the farmers' thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest with a grand display of colorful rice wafers, fruits, vegetables, and handicrafts adorning every house in the town."

Medyo nabilad ako ng todo. Sobrang init!

Fixing

The problem:

I can't sign out of my blogger account. I click "sign out," then it redirects straight back to my dashboard.

Medyo bothered na ko this past few days. I'm still encountering the above problem. I googled it at hindi lang pala ako ang nakaka-experience nito. Are you guys are troubling down with this?

from  http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/blogger/thread

Short description of problem: Can't sign out. I'm just sent straight back to my dashboard.

quite not sure of the reason ...

Blogger has restored most functions of the user Interface and has this back online....  This doesn't mean all blogs are fixed quite yet... Blogs are being restored in batches and layers meaning - one team is restoring comment systems for some blogs while other teams are still working to populate posts that were removed during the system rollback.  Hang tight.  This process is likely going to take some time.....

I finally fixed my "Can't sign out of Dashboard" problem by deleting absolutely ALL cookies, even for my Favourites, and all browsing history (I'm on IE8) When I logged back in evereything was fine and remains so (fingers crossed....)

Mukhang pinapaganda lang naman ng Blogger ang kanilang serbisyo. Wait lang muna.

Konek

You’re in the middle of downloading a file then you lost your internet connection. It’s irritating right? Mahina pa naman pasensya ko sa ganyan.

I am using a wireless broadband so I get to compare yung ibang network sa iba. I think pare-pareho lang naman sila ng services. Most of the time mahina ang signal especially when having a bad weather. In that case you can’t get through browsing but still, kung prepaid ka naku-consume pa rin yung load.

Although I’m having a hard time (not all the time) in my connection, this first edition of wireless broadband in the country (that I think) is still in my possession and it’s still working.

The Challenge

Too many faces

           Too many obstacles and challenges

In this world where the only constant is change ..

"Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up."

No one will want the journey with the losing end.

Maybe it's time for us to stand and cheer for the doer, the achiever, the one who recognizes the challenge and does something about it.

(Are you the one?)
