Many people are fascinated with british singer Adele. I was surprised that she’s only 23 years old. The golden voice behind chart-topping songs Someone Like You and Rolling in the Deep is now a household name and enjoying success in the international scene.

"Rolling in the Deep" has reached number one in eleven countries and top five in several other countries. The song has also become Adele's first number-one song in the U.S., reaching the top spot of four Billboard charts. "Rolling in the Deep" spent seven weeks atop theBillboard Hot 100, the longest-running number-one single of 2011 so far. In July, the video was nominated for sevenMTV Video Music Awards nominations, making it the most nominated music video of the year.^[4] The video won three awards: Best Editing, Best Cinematography andBest Art Direction.^[5]

How about this one, I found a clip of Linkin Park doing a live performance of Rolling in the Deep cover. I would say the band did a good job. Astig!

Lifesaving!

I’ve been to a 3-day training about First Aid and CPR conducted by the Philippine Red Cross. It was sponsored by our office and I was lucky to be chosen as part of the team. I heard may kamahalan raw kung sa labas ka kukuha ng training.

Though I enjoyed the activities, I never thought it was that challenging especially the actual presentation. I have no any background in the medical field and giving cpr is a very delicate situation. You have to ensure you follow the rule and know the proper way of giving the aid to at least help the victim while the Physician is not yet around. Buti na lang I passed the exam kahit papano.

It’s a good learning experience. I’ll be more practicing safety and healthy living and remember that Prevention is always Better than Cure!

Remembering 9/11

This is the first time I heard this heartfelt song and I must say, truly a very strong and emotional one.

Country superstar Alan Jackson says it best himself -- "I'm not a real political man" -- in his most famous ballad. Indeed, the Georgia artist's songwriting has centered on the traditional country voice of everyday working people, leading ordinary lives.

The song he penned several weeks after Sept. 11, 2001 -- "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)" -- was an emotional example of that tradition, but it catapulted Jackson's career by articulating what thousands of other not "real political" men and women felt and thought on that day.
Across the country, listeners nodded in unison to Jackson's lyrics, which somehow captured the multitude of emotions a nation felt after one terrible morning:

Were you in the yard with your wife and children
Or working on some stage in L.A.?
Did you stand there in shock at the sight of that black smoke

Chillin'

I was stuck at this one lazy afternoon and decided to have my late lunch outside. First stop at the Chili’s Grill & Bar in Greenhills. A bit pricey pero astig yung place at na-enjoy ko yung food. Definitely magkakaron ng second visit yung first visit.
